This dish is practically perfect in every way! *Chef’s kiss*

The Pasta:

This may sound controversial, but for this recipe, we really do prefer using a short cut pasta rather than fettuccine. All of the crevices hold the sauce so much better! Some of our favorite shapes to use are fusilli (which we used), cavatappi, trottole, and penne.

The Sauce:

Making the sauce can’t get any easier! After making this once, you’ll never buy another jar of ordinary Alfredo sauce. This one is so much fresher and tastier. All you need is some butter, garlic, a splash of heavy cream (ok maybe a bit more than a splash), a touch of milk, a generous amount of parmesan, and some salt for good measure!

All in all, ya just can’t go wrong with it! Add in some cooked chicken, or serve it with a side salad to make it a more rounded meal. Whatever floats your boat!

Is Alfredo Sauce American or Italian?

Ok, so to put it simply, Alfredo that is made with cream (that most of us are familiar with, like this one) is actually American. The Italian version of this is actually just made with three main ingredients. Pasta, butter, and parmesan cheese. So, in Italy this version isn’t as common. But both are delicious!
