Christmas Tree Meringues

“In my heart is a Christmas Tree Farm” If you have a sweet tooth, these magical little snow-capped meringues are for you! Light as air, crisp, and marshmallowy sweet! Sure to be a showstopper!

These do take some time to make, but the active time is very little! You basically just let the oven do all the work! While you get to listen to some Christmas music!

Speaking of Christmas music, these Christmas Tree Farm Meringues are part of our Christmas song series! Inspired by the song, “Christmas Tree Farm” by Taylor Swift. Not exactly a classic Christmas song, but we couldn’t pass up this chance to make these sweet meringues!

The meringue is very straightforward. In total, it’s only 6 ingredients! And look at how glossy and silky it looks! SO pretty!

For the food dye, we used a Wilton gel food coloring called “green moss.” And we used a 1M piping tip. But by all means, use whatever you’d like!

Ingredients:

Egg whites: The eggs are the base of these meringues. Using room temperature eggs is a must because having them at room temp. helps them to whip up into a higher volume. Also when separating the eggs, make sure you don’t get any of the yolks in there.

White sugar: Another very important ingredient. Adding the sugar a Tbsp. at a time assures that the sugar dissolves.

Cream of Tartar: For only a 1/4 tsp. it does a lot! It helps to keep the mixture fluffy.

Vanilla extract: We like vanilla extract, but some other flavorings could be an almond extract, mint extract, or even peppermint extract!

Salt: A little bit of salt just makes life better!

Green gel food coloring: We like using gel because it has a more concentrated color rather than the normal food dye. Also as we said earlier, we used a Wilton gel food coloring, called “green moss.”

Powdered Sugar: It’s only natural to dust on some powdered sugar to make it look like snow! Plus, you get to have more sugar on it which is a win-win for us. It just makes it look so magical!

You can get really creative with the plating! Of course, we tried to make it look like a forest of Christmas trees, but we also made a cute little sign (because we are extra like that.) And we think it turned out too cute!

So now is your sign *get it?* to make these Christmas Tree Farm Meringues! Also, ignore the bad handwriting. We were in a rush to finish filming before it got dark.
