Caprese Naan Pizzas!

These Homemade Caprese Naan Pizzas take less than 30 minutes to make, and so so good!  A crisp and chewy, naan crust, topped with melty herby cheese, sliced tomatoes, red onions, and fresh basil!

We LOVE homemade pizza, but if you are short on time, here’s the solution to that! They are just as amazing as regular pizza.

For this recipe, we love using our Authentic Indian garlic naan recipe but if you don’t have the time to make it from scratch, store-bought will work too!

So let’s talk about the few main ingredients you’ll need for this recipe.

Naan: Homemade or store-bought will both work!

Mozzarella Cheese: Freshly shredded mozzarella cheese works best, because it melts better. We use two kinds of mozzarella; a block, and pearls.

Tomato: The thinner you slice the tomatoes, the better. We used roma tomatoes.

Red Onion: Again here, try to slice them very thin!

Basil: We love serving this pizza with basil, because it adds so much flavor and color!

The best way to make pizza is with naan! It’s a super simple dinner idea, and takes less than 30 minutes. And not to mention how delicious they turn out each every time!


-4 Naan

-2 cups freshly grated mozzarella cheese

-1 cup of fresh mozzarella pearls (torn in half)

-3 minced garlic cloves

-2 Tbsp. olive oil

-1 tsp. Italian seasoning

-a pinch of salt

-1/4 cup finely sliced red onion

-2 roma tomatoes, thinly sliced

-basil, for serving


1. In a small bowl, mix together 2 cups freshly grated mozzarella cheese, 3 minced garlic cloves, 2 Tbsp. olive oil, 1 tsp. Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.

2. Place 4 naan on a baking sheet, lined with parchment paper, and evenly sprinkle on the cheese mixture. Now place on the tomato slices, along with the onions, and mozzarella pearls, torn in half.

3. Bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Let cool a few minutes before serving, top with basil and enjoy!
