Raspberry Boba!

Pretty and pink, this Raspberry Boba is so much fun to make! Not only is it adorable, but so yummy! If you love boba, you need to give this recipe a try!

Raspberries:

We did a poll on Instagram and YouTube asking what flavor we should make! Raspberry wasn’t an option on there, but we ended up making a Raspberry Boba since we already had raspberries at home! 😅

Raspberries are great because first off they give the boba pearls an amazing bright color, but secondly because of their tart and sweet flavor.

Tapioca Pearls:

Ok, but how cute are these?! It’s the little things in life… They are only 3 ingredients! Raspberries sugar, and tapioca flour! The dough honestly looks like play dough, but smells like fresh raspberries! So fun!

Step-By-Step Video:

Tips to Making Fail-proof Boba:

-When boiling the pearls, make sure the water is at a rolling boil.

-When boiling, every few minutes so that way they don’t stick to the bottom

-Add honey or another syrup to the boba so they don’t stick together.

You’ve got this!

Raspberry Milk:

You can serve the Boba with whatever you’d like, but we love making a raspberry milk to go with it! All you do is combine 3/4 cups of milk with the leftover raspberry puree from straining it earlier on for the boba pearls! And that’s it! If you also want, you can add in a bit of sugar for some extra sweetness.

Ingredients

-1/2 cup fresh raspberries

-1 Tbsp. white sugar

-1/2 cup + 1 Tbsp. tapioca flour

-1 Tbsp. honey

-raspberry milk, or drink of choice

Instructions

1. In a small bowl, with a fork, mash together 1/2 cup fresh raspberries, and 1 Tbsp. white sugar. Microwave mixture for about 30-60 seconds.

2. Next, strain the mixture, keeping the juice from the raspberries. But don’t throw away the raspberry pulp mixture – you can use that to make the raspberry milk later.

3. Once strained, to the raspberry juice, add in 1 Tbsp. tapioca flour, and mix. Microwave for 60 seconds, stirring in 15 second increments, until it forms a slime-like mixture.

4. Now add in your remaining 1/2 cup tapioca flour, and mix until it’s no longer sticky.

5. Form and shape into tiny balls, and cook in boiling water, for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, turn off the heat, cover, and let sit for another 20 minutes.

6. Now at this point, you can add in an optional sweetener of your choice, like honey, sugar, or maple syrup.

7. Spoon the boba into glasses, and top with ice. Pour in raspberry milk, or your drink of choice. Enjoy!

Notes

To make the raspberry milk, combine the saved raspberry pulp, (from step 2) and about 3/4 cups of milk.
