We are super excited to be sharing this recipe with you all because it’s one of our favorites and we’re sure it’ll be your favorite too!

Pumpkin recipes are now in full swing, so today we decided to make this rich Pumpkin Crème Brûlée For Two. If you’ve never had Crème Brûlée before, then you are in for a treat!

It’s made with only six simple ingredients that you probably have on hand; sugar, egg yolks, pumpkin, vanilla, pumpkin spice, and cream! And it’s a lot simpler to make than you think!

If we haven’t convinced you to make it yet, this just might! Torching is our favorite part because it’s seriously so pretty when the sugar starts to bubble and caramelize. And when you crack the top to find a silky smooth interior, it’s sooo satisfying! 🙂

What is Crème Brûlée?

Crème Brûlée, meaning ‘Burnt Cream’ in French, is a decadent dessert, consisting of two main parts. A custard base, and a layer of crunchy caramelized sugar. The custard tastes just like ice cream, and the sugar on top gives this dessert an irresistible texture!

As always, we hope you guys enjoyed this recipe, and if you try it (which you definitely should!) let us know in the comments down below, and tag us on our Instagram because we love hearing from you! -Aubrey and Tara

Pumpkin Crème Brûlée For Two. A silky and oh-so-creamy custard full of pumpkin spice flavor, with sweet crunchy sugar shards, to make for the ultimate showstopping Fall dessert! Serve at a fancy dinner party, and your guests will be impressed!

Ingredients

Units Scale

3 egg yolks

3 Tbsp. white sugar

1/4 cup pumpkin puree

1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

1/4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice

3/4 cup heavy whipping cream

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together 3 egg yolks with 3 Tbsp. white sugar until combined. Next, add 1/4 cup pumpkin puree, 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract, and 1/4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice.

3. In a small saucepan heat up 3/4 cups of heavy cream just until it starts to simmer (this should take about 2 minutes). Remove from heat.

4. Slowly pour the heated cream into the egg mixture whisking constantly so the cream doesn’t cook the eggs.

5. Strain the custard through a sieve to assure there are no lumps and the mixture is smooth.

6. Place two 6 oz. ramekins into a deep baking dish and evenly pour the custard into the two ramekins.

7. Fill the baking dish halfway with boiling water, around the filled ramekins.

8. Place the dish with the filled ramekins into the preheated oven and bake on the middle rack for about 30 minutes.

9. Once finished baking, remove the ramekins from the deep baking dish with tongs. Let cool in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

10. Sprinkle about 2 tsp of white sugar on each crème brûlée, and using a blowtorch or kitchen torch, evenly caramelize and melt the sugar on the top. Don’t overdo it or the sugar will burn. A tip is to keep the torch moving so it evenly melts the sugar.

11. Let the sugar crust solidify for a few minutes, and serve!
